Stormchasers is a strategy that connects NTF resources to the places where new graduates work. Stormchasers will be senior ‘new graduates’ (1-2 years of practice experience), who undergo specialized training to advance their knowledge, understanding and application of transition theory, conflict resolution and crisis management skills, and respond to new graduates struggling with their initial role transition. Still considered new graduates themselves, Stormchasers are well suited to facilitate a healthy transition for these early entrants. interested in becoming a stormchaser?
NTF will occupy a consulting role, working with institutions/workplaces to harness the experiential knowledge of the transition experience in senior new graduates, and offer frameworks, tools and ongoing support for transition issue identification and solution-focused interventions. Working with local and regional educators, managers and senior nurses, Stormchasers will be called upon to intervene quickly with compassionate support grounded in a strong underlying knowledge of the transition experience, to guide the new graduate out of the storm and toward a healthy and satisfying professional integration.
